Administrator Check

Putting it in place: making sure you have the correct people and the
correct paperwork

  • We were contacted by a firm of solicitors in Cornwall who asked us to support the claim of a maternal cousin who has instructed his firm. Prior to the oath being sworn he wanted to check the administrator was entitled to act and that all the statutory heirs were accounted for. Our research discovered that the proposed administrator was a half-blood cousin, indeed all the maternal heirs were half-blood cousins. We subsequently located a full blood paternal heir who was eligible to act as the administrator.
